Augustine Okrah Voted Premier League's MVP

Bechem United's Augustine Okrah has won the 2013-14 Premier League best player award after finishing tops to crown a season of success.
Okrah completed a night where he had already been decorated with the top scorer award at the First Capital Plus Premier League awards at the Banquet. Hall, State House on Saturday.
The striker warded off stiff competition from Seidu Bancey of Asante Kotoko and New Edubiase's Asiedu Attobrah for the Best Player prize.
President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi flanked by Minister of Sports Mahama Ayariga and Isaac Enchill of First Capital Plus Bank presented the award, which was revived by the chairman of Bechem United.

The Ghana Journalists Association on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 held a Night of Tributes and Prayers for the late British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) presenter Komla Dumor and Metro TV reporter Samuel Hesse.
The ceremony was held at the Ghana International Press Center in Accra.
It was attended by dignitaries, family members, corporate executives, practising and retired journalists, heads of media institutions, friends and sympathizers.
Delivering the sermon on the night, Reverend Sam Korankye Ankrah, the Apostle General of the Royal House Chapel International, admonished all to emulate the faith of “this great son of our soil” and "learn after his example".
The late 2003 Ghana Journalist of the Year died on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at his home in London.
A funeral service is scheduled to be held in his honour from Friday, February 21 to Sunday, February 23.
Metro TV’s Samuel Hesse also died on Saturday, January 18, 2014.
National Prayer and Thanksgiving service 2012

The Miracle Wave Band has become synonymous with the National Prayer &Thanksgiving service. Just as in the years 2010 and 2011, in 2012, as part of the 55th anniversary celebration of Ghana’s independence, the Miracle Wave Band was in full attendance and for some three hours held the gathering at the Independence Square spellbound with soul soothing renditions and spectacular stage craft.

National Thanksgiving Day 2011
Posted by: Editor on 13th Mar, 2011 at 03:45PM The 2011 National Thanks Giving Day of the Republic of Ghana was attended by His Excellency President Professor John Evans Attah Mills, Hon Speaker of parliament, her lordship the chief Justice of Ghana and the “de-la crème” of Ghana. The Thanks giving service was graced with thousands of Christian Leaders, Muslim Leaders and Traditional Rulers in the Country. The Atmosphere was charged by the performance of the Miracle Wave Band which was the band for the occasion, and who provided the public address system and all the equipment for the occasion. The 150,000 Watts of sound power produced was laced with performances from other groups like the Dansoman Youth Choir, Faith Evangelical, Danny Nartey , Berkey Bonni and World Harvest Int. Group. The church leaders lead the congregants to pray on various topics for the growth of the country while the Most Rev Professor Dr Emmanuel Asante preached on the theme Arise, Act and Shine. His Excellency President Professor John Evans Attah Mills called for national unity, righteousness and peace, and called all members to take the message that has been preached seriously. The President also acknowledged the presence of dignitaries present at the function including Nana Akuffo Addo, the leader of the biggest opposition party in Ghana.
